CLAREMONT — Residents can meet the new city manager, Ed Morris, during a meet and greet from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the community center.
Morris will begin work Monday and be joined by interim city manager John MacLean during a brief transition period.
Morris, 45, comes to Claremont from Weathersfield, where he was hired as town manager in 2016. He came to Vermont from Idaho, where he gained experience in municipal government and firefighting in the city of Twin Falls. He was selected in July from an original pool of about 50 candidates to replace Ryan McNutt.
