WILLIAMSTOWN, VT — Linda Diane DeCroti, 68 died Monday, August 26, 2019 at her home in Williamstown, VT.

She was born April 24, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Anthony Thomas DeCroti and Nelida Lopez De Victoria DeCroti. She attended school in New York and later the Central Vermont Community College.

On October 14, 1967 she married Raymond Young of Tunbridge, VT. She has worked at the Forest Poultry Plant in South Royalton, VT, Merry Maids in Randolph, VT and at Granite Glove. In 1979 she and Raymond divorced and she moved back to New York. She later returned to Vermont, Living in several central Vermont towns before settling in Williamstown in 2002.

She enjoyed art, nature, foraging in the woods, singing with her band, traveling, her friends, camping, fishing, berry and apple picking, walking and cooking Italian food. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in South Royalton, VT.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Allen Young of Fairlee, VT and Bart Avery DeCroti of Barre, VT; three daughters, Ginger Lynn Potwin of Randolph, VT, Angelina Marie Capron and Fabrianna Alexandria DeCroti both of Barre, VT; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Edmond DeCroti of Staten Island, NY and Wayne DeCroti of Georgia; two sisters Franchesca Williams of Plattsburg, NY and Ramona DeCroti of Arizona and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Timothy DeCroti, Thomas DeCroti and Philip DeCroti.

There are no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 113 LDS Lane, Dairy Hill Rd., South Royalton, VT.
