SOUTH ROYALTON — A boil water order that had affected dozens of homes and businesses in South Royalton was lifted Thursday afternoon.
“The boil water order for the Royalton Fire District #1 is now fully lifted. All customers may resume using their water as normal,” Victoria Paquin, the fire district’s administrative assistant, said via email on Thursday.
The order had been lifted Tuesday evening for most users but remained in effect for some streets and homes along South Windsor Street.
The fire district issued the boil water order late Sunday afternoon after a 4-inch service line broke, causing the system to become depressurized.
