After a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, Doireann Sargent, 58, passed away on Sunday, May 19 with family and close friends by her side.

Doireann was raised by her loving parents John “Babe” and Priscilla Sargent. She grew up in Georges mills, NH helping to run the family business, Sargent’s Marina, which she eventually ran as her own until her final days. In the off season, when the lake was frozen, she spent the winters working with her close friends at Bob Skinners Ski and Sport in Newbury, NH for nearly 20 years.

Some of Doireann’s most special qualities were her selflessness and devotion to her family. She was a dedicated mother and her family was the most important thing in the world. She is survived by four children Brooke, Oliver, Christina and Jesse, and three grand children Ollie, Nash and Violet whom she loved unconditionally, but she cherished so many more. Taking care of others was her passion and delight. The doors to her home were always open.

The family would like to thank those who helped care for Doireann during the final days. There is an open invitation to celebrate her life on September 8th at the Georges Mills Boat Club. More details to be shared closer to the date.
