Claremont resident Evelyn Cormier advanced to the next round of American Idol on Monday.

Cormier, who sang Wonderwall by Oasis, wowed the judges once again with Katy Perry jokingly referring to Cormier as Cher on Twitter.

“Your voice is otherworldly,” Perry tweeted after the performance.

Cormier said she’s in a family band and the Oasis anthem is their “fun song.”

The upcoming round, called Showcase/Green Mile, takes place at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii, and features the Top 40 contestants.

The next episode airs at 8 p.m. on Sunday on ABC.
