Town Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, at the Kearsarge Learning Campus in New London. Voting for town officers will be by Australian ballot from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at Whipple Memorial Town Hall.
NEW LONDON — Voters will take up zoning amendments related to tree cutting within waterfront buffers and the installation of commercial solar operations and ground-mounted solar panels.
They also are being asked to approve a $1.4 million general fund budget and $600,000 to renovate and repair the Municipal Building.
A $2.05 million public safety budget and $2.5 million highways and sanitation budget also are on the warrant.
In contested races on the municipal ballot, John Cannon and Vahan Sarkisian are running for a three-year seat on the Selectboard. Kimberly Bonin, Nancy Mahar and Andrew Schmidt are vying for two trustees seats for Tracy Memorial Library.
Gerald Coogan, John Raby and Michael O. Williams are running for three seats on the Budget Committee.
