Voting by Australian ballot for Town Meeting will run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at the Grafton Fire Station.
GRAFTON — Voters are being asked to approve an operating budget of just under $1.2 million, a $22,000 decrease from last year.
A separate article calls for the purchase of a 2014 garbage and recycling roll-off truck, and another seeks $40,000 for paving roads.
Road Agent Robert Bassett is being challenged by Geoffrey Joyce for a three-year term.
Jennie Joyce is unopposed for another term on the Selectboard, Ed Grinley is unopposed for Budget Committee, Sue Smith is running for library trustee, and Angus Gorman is the lone candidate on the ballot for a three-year term on the Planning Board.
Another article on the warrant calls for raising the annual stipends for members of the Selectboard from $2,000 to $3,500 apiece. The Budget Committee recommended the article.
Correction
The proposed operating budget of just under $1.2 million in Grafton would be a $22,000 decrease from 2018. An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported the difference in proposed spending.
