Town Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at Pomfret Town Hall.

POMFRET — Voters are being asked to approve a $1.37 million municipal budget, including $352,335 for town operations and $960,100 for the highway budget.

Including other appropriations on the warning, spending would increase 1.1 percent, but the amount to be raised in taxes would drop by 0.9 percent to $903,000, according to the Town Report.

Elections are from the floor, and three of the five Selectboard seats are up for election — one-year seats held by Michael Reese and John Peters Jr. and a three-year seat held by Selectboard Chairman Frank Perron Jr.

Reese has indicated he won’t seek another term.
