STOWE, Vt. — Alexa Dlouhy and Tanguy Nef won their respective slalom races on Saturday at the Vermont Carnival, but Dartmouth was unable to surpass the host Catamounts, who took the title on their home powder, 934-914.
The Big Green won both the men’s and women’s slalom at Mount Mansfield, while Vermont claimed both cross country classical races at the Trapp Family Lodge.
Nef won the men’s slalom with a combined time of 1:46.70, and Dlouhy took the women’s slalom in 1:56.29, more than a full second ahead of teammate Stephanie Currie. The Big Green’s Tricia Mangan was fourth.
It was the Catamounts’ performance on the trails that allowed them to win their home carnival with Anna Bizyukova winning the women’s 15K classical and Ben Ogden the men’s 20K. Dartmouth’s Lauren Jortberg was second in the women’s race, while Adam Glueck was 18th in the men’s race to pace the Big Green.
Dartmouth returns home next weekend to host Winter Carnival on Friday and Saturday at the Dartmouth Skiway and the Cross Country Ski Center at Oak Hill.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Camilla Emsbo and Alex Cade scored 15 points apiece as Yale (13-6, 3-1 Ivy League) handed Dartmouth (8-9, 2-2) its second straight Ivy loss.
Cade also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds. Roxy Barahman added 11 points for the Bulldogs, who led at the half, 32-23.
Cy Lippold led Dartmouth with 14 points and six assists, while teammate Isalys Quinones added 13 points. Annie McKenna had seven rebounds for the Big Green, which visits Cornell and Columbia next weekend.
HANOVER — Tera Hofmann made 32 saves as Yale (7-15-1 6-9-1 ECAC Hockey) shut out Dartmouth (4-18-1 3-13-0).
Emma Seitz and Kaitlyn Rippon scored for the Bulldogs, who were out-shot by the Big Green, 32-30.
Dartmouth goalie Christine Honor made 28 saves for the Big Green, which visits Union and RPI next weekend.
PHILADELPHIA — Reg Anderson, Jack Bell and Tucker Martino won forNo. 5 Dartmouth (7-4) in a loss to No. 3 Penn (11-1). The Big Green heads to Princeton on Sunday.
PHILADELPHIA — Penn (8-3) doubled up (4-5), which received wins from Julia Potter, Emma Roberts and Darden Gildea. The Big Green visits Princeton on Sunday.
HANOVER — Dartmouth fell to Columbia at Karl Michael Pool in its last dual meet of the season.
The Big Green’s Maggie Pionzio won the 1-meter dive (271.34 points), while teammate Sarah Minnigh won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.43) and the 500 freestyle (5:03.07). Mackenzie Stumpf won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.90).
The Green will have over two weeks to prepare for the Ivy League Championship, which will take place on Feb. 20-23 at Princeton.
HANOVER — The Big Green won two of three doubles matches but lost a close match to the Terriers.
Allison Chuang and Madison Hwang won, 6-3, at No. 3 doubles. Racquel Lyn and Abigail Chiu added a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Chuyang Guan added a 6-2, 6-4 win in singles.
