Hanover — Contrary to recent results, it apparently is possible to get a puck past Dartmouth College men’s hockey goaltender Adrian Clark. But not many.

Clark came within a goal of his third shutout in four games, but his Big Green teammates kept the workload light in a 4-1 win over St. Lawrence on Friday night at Thompson Arena. Clark needed just 12 saves for his latest victory, and his teammates gave him plenty of support.

Quin Foreman got Dartmouth (7-4-1, 8-9-2) going just 3:19 into the contest, scoring on a Shane Sellar pass. Collin Rutherford’s unassisted goal at 12:28 of the second doubled the lead. The Saints pegged one back through David Jankowski early in the third period, but Foreman added his second of the evening and Alex Jasiek added insurance barely two minutes later for the Big Green.

Dartmouth dominated the contest on the shot chart as well, pounding 51 attempts on the St. Lawrence net. Arthur Brey stopped 47 of them to keep the Saints in the contest.

Dartmouth hosts Clarkson tonight.

St. Lawrence 3, Dartmouth 2

Canton, n.y. — Sara McClanahan single-handedly brought the Big Green back from a two-goal deficit before the Saints spoiled the Big Green’s night at Appleton Arena.

Down 2-0, McClanahan began Dartmouth’s comeback on passes from Givanna Foglia and Tess Brackent at 15:06 of the second period. McClanahan did it again 5½ minutes into the third period, converting a Bailee Brekke pass for a 2-2 tie.

The Big Green’s good fortune ran out, however, about five minutes later. Justine Reyes solved Dartmouth goalie Christine Honor (32 saves) with 9:18 to play, and St. Lawrence held on for the victory.

Kayla Vespa and Kristen Guerriero also scored for the Saints, and Nadine Edney had two assists. Grace Harrison recorded 19 saves.

Brekke and Foglia both posted their first assists of the season for Dartmouth (2-11-0, 3-16-1), which visits Clarkson this afternoon.
