The Wasps (7-1-2) hadn’t lost since a first-round ouster from the VPA D-I state tournament against Middlebury on March 1, 2017. The unbeaten streak included last year’s 22-0-1 championship run along with a nine-game streak to open the current campaign.
Field Willis scored on a Trevor White pass to give Woodstock a 1-0 lead after one period. The Cougars (5-3-1) charged back in the middle stanza, scoring three times off Woodstock turnovers. MMU added an empty-netter for the final margin of victory.
The Wasps, who owned a 23-19 edge in shots on goal, host Hartford on Wednesday at Union Arena.
Big Green Sweeps Pair

The Big Green swept all three doubles matches against the Hoosiers, then used singles wins from Peter Conklin, Dan Martin and David Horneffer to take the match. Dartmouth also claimed the doubles points against the Bulldogs, with Horneffer, Casey Ross and Sid Chari posting singles wins.
The Big Green heads to New York next weekend for the ITA Kickoff, beginning with a date against Kentucky on Saturday.
