Gilbert improved his state-best individual scoring average with qualifying games of 234 and 246. Samm Erskine added 144 and 157 for the Yellowjackets. Brayton Bailey had 125-169 and Jacob Underhill had 135-134.
Nick Ramos led White River Valley in qualifying with 122-134. Kaleb Thornton had 124-110 and Alex Madden had 115-116.
The Jacks and Wildcats were matched up in the first round, with Windsor winning in two straight games, 128-104 and 119-89. Windsor then beat Springfield in the finals, winning the first (160-144) and the third (173-152) games.
WRV finished in third overall after beating Burlington in the consolation round, two games to one.
Windsor hosts a home match at Claremont’s Maple Lanes on Saturday against the White River Valley, Brattleboro and Springfield.

The Canes beat second-seeded Brattleboro 2 games to 1 in the first round, 144-134, 147-163 and 140-128. Hartford then fell to Essex in the championship round, again in three games. The Canes won the middle game, 127-123, but lost the first (135-164) and third (130-169).
Cean Lieberman led Hartford in qualifying with 170 and 150. Camden LeBrun had 134-163 and Dalton Lemay had 129-133.
Hartford heads north to Champlain Lanes to face South Burlington, Essex and Enosburg on Saturday.

The Marauders built a 3-0 lead in the first period. Spencer Lawe scored first, with assists to Hans Williams and Charlie Plottner. Oberting followed with a pair of goals; Plottner and Cameron Woods assisted. Brendan Brigham closed the scoring with a goal in the second period. Tonio Correa and Matty Gardner picked up assists.
Goalie Ben Plottner made 19 saves for Hanover (8-3-0 overall, 7-1-0 league).

“(Goalie) Zoey Pfeiffer stood on her head. She made some phenomenal saves,” Hartford coach Bill Goldsworthy said. “She’s come a long way, having just started (playing goalie) last year. To see what she’s doing now is remarkable.”
Jasmine Wilson scored in the first period to give Hartford (2-8-0) the early lead. Brattleboro answered with a pair of goals before Cayden Shaw scored in the third period to knot things up at 2-2. Ryelee Potwin and Ceci Spaulding each assisted on Shaw’s goal.
Isabel Stack and Wilson each had assists on Knudsen’s game-winner, which came 47 seconds into overtime.

“We seem to be moving in the right direction,” Windsor coach Bruce Mackay said. “This was a really good team win. Offensively and defensively, it was fun to watch them play like they did today. Bellows Falls is a good team.”
Olivia Rockwood made five 3-pointers and finished with 29 points for Windsor, all in the first three quarters. Mackay was impressed by the Jacks outscoring the Terriers, 15-11, in the fourth quarter without any scoring contribution from Rockwood.
Adi Prior added 10 points. Brooke McKeen and Evelyn Page each had six points.
Windsor hosts Hartford on Tuesday night, when the teams will be raising funds for cancer awareness.

Kiana Johnson had 20 points for Thetford. Namya Benjamin added 13 points and Emma Colby had seven points. The Panthers further deepened their lineup by welcoming back Kelsey Smith from an ankle injury.

Kaysea Neil had 17 points to pace Oxbow. Tiffany Longmoore made three 3-pointers for nine points. The O’s went on a 15-9 run in the second quarter to lead, 22-21, at the break. Lamoille regained the lead for good by outscoring the hosts, 16-8, in the third quarter.

In the girls’ race, Lebanon’s Celia Barnett was second in 16 minutes, 29 seconds; followed by teammates Maria Goodwin (sixth), Maria Goodwin (seventh), Allison Carl (eighth) and Ayla Weale (ninth). Hanover’s Megan Smith was fourth, followed by fellow Marauders Sage Gilbert-Diamond (10th), Katie Davis (13th) and Shannon Walsh (15th). Kennett’s Helen Badger took the race in 16:25.
For the boys, Glen Passow paced the Marauders with a third-place finish (13:39), followed by Noa Phipps (fourth), Aidan Biglow (sixth) and Peter Burnham 916th). Lebanon was led by Cooper Bourne (12th), Nate Magari (14th), Jack Smyrski (15th) and Seth Carl (17th). Kennett’s Aidan Hagerty won in 13:31.
