For the second straight Friday, the Royals worked extra time to grab a win. This time it came at the expense of Fall Mountain, a 48-46 Mascoma victory that knocked the Wildcats from their undefeated perch atop NHIAA Division III.
The Royals (4-7, 4-9) used two overtimes to overturn Berlin last Friday.
Mascoma could have taken the game in regulation, but Fall Mountain forced overtime with a buzzer-beating tip-in. Lilly Bennett came off the bench in the fourth to hit a late jumper that tied the game, and added a pair of free throws to keep the Royals alive.
The bench was a major factor in the four-minute overtime, helping Mascoma overcome four starters lost to fouls. “The bench really came up big, especially against an undefeated team,” Mascoma coach Walt Hammond said.
Lizz Pelton “played hard the entire game,” Hammond said, and led the Royals with 14 points. Nicole Williams and Michaela Dowd both scored nine points, and Bella Kondi finished with seven.
The teams stage a rematch at Fall Mountain on Wednesday.
Hartford 46, Woodstock 36

“We played better as a team,” Hartford head coach Heidi Bushway said.
Hartford led, 24-13, at halftime and never looked back. Jasmine Jenkins added eight points for the Canes. Beth Dobrich and Davan Murphy netted six points each. Hartford (2-8) travels to Windsor on Tuesday.
Emma Tartleton led the Wasps with 13 points and three 3-pointers. Woodstock (3-6) has lost four straight and hosts Bellows Falls on Tuesday.

Gradijan, out four games with an injury, had 12 points and Wolke — who missed Monday’s win over Kearsarge — offered 10 to support a game-high 19 points from Rebecca Wright. Lebanon slumbered through a 7-2 first quarter before kicking the offense into gear, taking a 28-11 lead into halftime.
“We started really slow,” Lebanon coach Tim Kehoe said. “This is the last day of finals, they just got out, and I don’t think we scored in the first five minutes. The defense held form in the first quarter. We got going in the second and played really well.”
Carly Huckins had 19 points to pace the Pride.
The Raiders visit John Stark on Wednesday.

Lois Schwarz provided eight points for Hanover, which remained a half-game behind undefeated Lebanon and Kennett at the top of the NHIAA Division II standings.
Bella Bardales and Melissa Whitmore added six points each for Hanover, which visits Manchester West on Tuesday.

Peirce had a season-high 18 points to account for half of Sunapee’s offense. She sank both of her 3-pointers and had eight of the Lakers’ 12 points in the second period to keep the visitors within 31-21 at the break. Peirce was also 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
Miah Hamm backed up Perice’s night with six points, and Anah Durkee contributed five for Sunapee, which hosts Wilton-Lyndeborough on Tuesday.

Mid Vermont Christian is off until visiting Christ Covenant next Saturday in a game to be played at Twinfield Union High School.

In addition to Gantrish’s team-high 21 points, Hanover picked up contributions from all over. Charlie Adams provided a double-double of 20 points and 11 assists, Simon Roach netted nine points, seven different Marauders buried a 3-pointer and Hanover used a 24-9 second period to set the table for the win.
“Our defense got it going, and our offense followed the lead,” Hanover coach Tim Winslow said. “Christian Barr had nine of their 11 points in the first quarter, and he didn’t score in the second. We tried to make him work harder. We were able to keep him from scoring, so our defense stepped it up.”
Hanover, which nailed 10 of its threes in the first half, will host Manchester West on Tuesday.

The Raiders hit six of their seven 3-pointers in the first half to build a 12-point lead by halftime. Jon Willeman scored 14 points and Caleb Smith added nine for Lebanon, which jumps to 5-2 in NHIAA Division II. It hosts John Stark on Wednesday.

“We mucked up the game in the second half,” Sharon head coach Blake Fabrikant said. “It was a huge win for us. (White River Valley) is playing really well.”
Sharon trailed, 21-16, at halftime and 36-27 after three quarters before launching its comeback, outscoring White River, 16-7, in the fourth quarter and 10-4 in overtime. Sharon’s Fisher Kelley tied the game in the final minute and Taylor Leonard gave the Phoenix the lead in the extra session.
Olly Skeet-Browning led the Phoenix with 15 points; Troy Walker paced the Wildcats with 20. Sharon hosts Christ Covenant today. White River hosts Twinfield on Tuesday.

“We turned the ball over a little too much, they turned it into baskets,” Windsor head coach Harry Ladue said.
Windsor led by two points at halftime and seven points after three quarters. Robert Slocum and Dakohta Sanderson led the Yellowjackets with 11 points and two 3-pointers each.
Windsor (5-5) hosts Mill River on Wednesday.

Four different Montpelier players scored double digits as the Solons put the game away with 27 points in the fourth quarter. Gabe Marsicovetere added 13 points for the Wasps, who suffered their fourth loss in five games.

Jordan Chappell scored 11 of his team-high 27 points in the opening quarter for Sunapee, which held a 19-11 lead through the first eight minutes of the game. But the Purple Eagles slowly rallied, took a 42-39 lead into the fourth period and outscored the Lakers, 22-8, in the final stanza.
Groveton was 12-for-16 from the line in the final period of play. Gayin Sampson was 11-for-14 from the striple on the night en route to a game-high 29 points for the hosts.
Zach Belisle followed up Chappell’s output with six points for Sunapee.

Pickman spread her scoring out over all three periods. Her first game just 26 seconds after Makayla Maccioli put Lebanon-Stevens-Kearsarge on the board with 2:39 left in the first period, Pickman tallied the only goal of the middle stanza and provided the punctuation in the third following a Lily Barber tally.
Celia Barnett had a pair of assists for Lebanon, with Maya Bennett, Caitlin Veracka, Barber and Maccioli each posting one. Hoegler made 22 saves in 2½ periods of play, and Trietsch followed up with another six to keep the shutout intact.
The Raiders visit Berlin-Gorham a week from today.

Christian Felton scored a pair of first-period man-up goals to get the Wildcats started; he and Sullivan Mack both finished with a team-high two goals. Kyle Penney threw in three assists to go with his goal, and Griffin Hatley netted his first strike in a KUA uniform to join nine different players with one goal apiece.
Zach Paputsakis had 18 saves and Jonah Silverman added another three in the game’s final 10 minutes. KUA hosts Stanstead College this afternoon.
