Williamstown, Vt. — Four players hit for double figures and the White River Valley defense held host Williamstown to just two second-quarter points en route to a 49-26 Central Vermont League girls basketball victory on Friday.

Sylvie Coltey led the Wildcats (2-2) with 14 points. Sophie Howe followed up with 12, while Toni Turner and Sarah Howe both contributed. That was more than enough scoring for the WRV defense, which held a 27-13 halftime lead that ballooned to 37-15 by the third-quarter buzzer.

White River Valley is off for the holidays, returning to visit Blue Mountain in another CVL matchup on Jan. 3.
