KUA goalkeeper Olivia Brooker stopped a breakway to keep the game scoreless into halftime, but Brewster got on the board with a long-distance shot 15 minutes after the break. The Wildcats’ Casey Allen beat her defender and converted at the far corner of the Brewster net to equalize 10 minutes later. Second-half Kimball Union netminder Sophie Braver stopped seven shots, including one crossbar tap-over, to send the match to overtime.
Maike Lasser had the Wildcats’ best effort in the extra sessions, missing wide on an attempt to catch the Brewster netminder well off her line. The hosts advanced in the spot-kick decider, converting their first three attempts as KUA missed its first three tries.
KUA (13-3-3) finished the season in third place in the competitive Lakes Region League and will graduate five seniors: captains Molly Davis, Scout Beaupre and Esa Anderson along with Anna Rogers and Angelina Tommola.

Jon Schafer nodded home a Tucker Williams head-ball pass less than three minutes into the match to get the Wildcats started. Rivers tied the match in the 20th minute and took the lead in the 66th, but KUA battled back and forced overtime when Dominick DaCruz scored out of a scramble following an 89th-minute free kick.
The Wildcats (13-2-2) graduate nine.

Taylor tipped home a Kyle Penney point shot late in regulation to break a 3-3 tie before adding an empty-netter. Penney, Paul Dore and Sullivan Mack also scored. Zach Paputsakis recorded 27 saves for KUA, which meets Stanstead again today.
