Pittsburgh — Brayden Point scored three straight power-play goals in 1 minute, 31 seconds — the sixth-fastest three goals in NHL history — as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-3, on Thursday night.

Billy Mosienko holds the record, scoring three times in 21 seconds for Chicago against the New York Rangers in 1952. Point’s 91-second burst was the second-fastest three goals since 1967-68.

Pittsburgh star Sidney Crosby sat out after sustaining an upper-body injury on Tuesday night at New Jersey. Coach Mike Sullivan confirmed the injury is not a concussion, and Crosby is considered day-to-day, but will likely miss a week.

Yanni Gourde also had a power-play goal, Nikita Kucherov added three assists, and backup goalie Louis Domingue made 28 saves to help the Lightning win for the fifth time in seven games. Starting goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy is out indefinitely.

Islanders 7, Rangers 5

New York — Anthony Beauvillier had three goals and an assist, and the New York Islanders held off the Rangers to keep up their recent mastery over their crosstown rival.

Leo Komarov had a goal and an assist, and Anders Lee, Brock Nelson and Cal Clutterbuck also scored as the Islanders beat the Rangers for the 12th time in 13 meetings since the start of 2015-16 season. Valtteri Filppula had three assists, Nick Leddy added two, and Thomas Greiss stopped 36 shots to help the Islanders get their seventh win in their last 10 overall.

Beauvillier got his first career hat trick and first four-point game as the Islanders, second in the Metropolitan Division, remained perfect in seven games against division teams this season.

Chris Kreider had two goals and Fredrik Claesson and Filip Chytil also scored for the Rangers, who were 6-0-1 in their last seven. Henrik Lundqvist gave up five goals on 17 shots through the first two periods. Alexandar Georgiev replaced him to start the third and had five saves.

Blue Jackets 7, Panthers 3

Columbus, Ohio — Joonas Korpisalo stopped 38 shots, five Columbus players had a goal and an assist and the Blue Jackets took over in the third period to rout Florida.

Markus Hannikainen broke a 3-3 tie early in the third when he spun around and swept the puck past Florida goalie Roberto Luongo from the edge of the blue paint. Anthony Duclair and Josh Anderson followed with breakaway scores, and Boone Jenner added an empty-netter to seal it. Columbus picked up a point in its sixth straight game (4-0-2) and is in first place in the Metropolitan Division.

Florida ended a five-game winning streak, even with Mike Hoffman breaking a franchise record with a point in his 14th straight game.

Devils 3, Flyers 0

Philadelphia — Keith Kinkaid made 29 saves, Kyle Palmieri scored and New Jersey blanked Philadelphia.

Joey Anderson also scored and Blake Coleman added an empty-netter for the Devils, who won consecutive games for the first time since opening the season with four straight victories. New Jersey got its second road win in nine tries this season. The Devils have played eight of their last nine on the road.

Philadelphia lost its second straight after Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Florida ended a six-game point streak.

Besides Kinkaid’s strong game, the Devils had fortune on their side. Philadelphia hit the goal post five times and had a goal disallowed.

Kinkaid maintained a one-goal lead through the second period when he used his glove to stop Jakub Voracek twice in the final 56.1 seconds. The Devils goalie almost gifted Philadelphia a goal with just over three minutes left when he turned it over from behind the net to Wayne Simmonds right in front. Kinkaid recovered to get his stick on Simmonds’ attempt.

The shutout was Kinkaid’s third of the season and seventh of his career.

Anderson’s goal 2:45 into the contest was the only one until Palmieri’s wraparound tally with 6:08 remaining. Coleman’s shot into an empty net finished the scoring with 3:02 left.

Flyers goalie Brian Elliott appeared to suffer a lower body injury on the play. He was replaced by backup Calvin Pickard.

Anderson staked New Jersey to a 1-0 lead by finishing a tic-tac-toe passing attack with a hard wrist shot from the slot that got past Elliott’s left pad. A rookie, Anderson recorded his first career goal after pretty assists from Coleman and Brett Seney.

The Flyers hit the goal post on four shots and had a goal disallowed in the first. Shayne Gostisbehere’s apparent equalizer five minutes after Anderson’s goal was nixed due to goalie interference when James van Riemsdyk bumped Kinkaid. The officials’ on-ice call was upheld after a video review.

Philadelphia welcomed its big offseason acquisition, van Riemsdyk, back to the ice. The forward had been out since injuring his knee in the second game of the season.
