Joanna Bujarski broke open a tight defensive contest by scoring on a breakaway for the Surge’s opening goal. Katharine Moseley doubled LSC’s lead early in the second half before assisting on a blast from Annalbel des Cognets. Ainsley Smith’s half-volley of a Malia Pratt corner kick completed the Surge’s scoring before Merrimack notched a late consolation marker.
In addition to the players involved in the scoring, the Surge’s Karley Hollis, Deming Dwyer, Ella Donahue, Kayleigh Ferland, Aila Van Dolah, Cosima Torresani and Nora Holmes all took part in the team’s undefeated run. Sasha Cirovic coached the squad to its championship victory.
U12 Comets Unbeaten, Too

The Comets took advantage of an own goal, despite the best efforts of the Seacoast netminder to prevent it, to post the eventual game-winning marker. Thatcher Bacon provided the insurance.
Ryder Wilson and Roan Palm combined on the shutout for the Comets.
U11 Thunder Drops Finale

Shawn Walker posted both goals for the Thunder, and Ronan Przydzielski earned the only assist. LSC had its chances in the contest, twice hitting goalposts behind the Aztec netminder. Micah Jacobs had six saves, and his defenders played well in front of him.
The Thunder went 5-3-0 in the fall, topped by an unbeaten run through the Seacoast United Tournament.
In other LSC action:
■ The U14 Storm fell, 1-0, to SFC New England in its final game to finish third in its league for the fall campaign.
■ The U13 Fever boys also fell in their last game of the season, 4-2, to the Boston Bolts in Lancaster, Mass. Cabot McLaren and Ian Press had the goals for the Fever.
Norwich Turkey Trot

The race offer two routes, one covering 4.4 miles and another covering 2 miles around the town. The event benefits the Upper Valley Haven, and although there is no fee to hit the starting line, participants are asked to provide a cash, food or clothing donation for the Haven to join in.
This is a dog-friendly event, although leashes are required. Turkey Trots and other gear also will be available for donations of $20 or more.

On the Ice
Small Games Camps
White River Junction
The camps promote creativity and experimentation on the ice, working in small spaces to improve skills such as skating, shooting, cycling and stickhandling. The camps also are a great opportunity to jump-start the coming high school season.
The camps open to girls in grades 7-12 and boys in grades 8-12. The girls meet from 3:15-4:15 p.m. each day, with the boys following from 4:25-5:25 p.m.
The cost is $65 for residents and $80 nonresidents.

UVHA Try-for-Free Day
White River Junction
The Storm will run its try-free day from 12:30-2 p.m., and the event is open to all youths between the ages of 4 and 9 who have not previously registered to play through USA Hockey. Storm team members and coaches will on hand. Just bring skates, a helmet with face protection and some friends. Participants all will receive a goodie bag and will be entered into a drawing for a registration credit.

Lebanon Thanksgiving Basketball Tourney

The tournament consists of multiple divisions for boys and girls in grades 5-12. Each team can have up to four players, and teams will play 12-minute contests in a double-elimination format. Tournament rules are available at lebanonnh.gov/1096/Annual-Basketball-Tournament.
