North Haverhill — A former employee of Jake’s Market and Deli in Lebanon is facing felony theft charges for allegedly embezzling more than $60,000 from the store.

Indictments handed down by a Grafton County grand jury allege that Jacqueline Camp, of Lebanon, failed to deposit the business’s daily proceeds into the bank, although she told her superiors she would.

The total taken from the Mechanic Street store amounted to more than $60,000, Lebanon Police Chief Richard Mello said on Thursday.

Camp was indicted on two charges: theft by deception and theft by unauthorized taking. She has an arraignment scheduled for Nov. 13 in the North Haverhill courthouse.

An employee at the market told the Valley News that Camp no longer works at the store.
