Lebanon, N.H. —
Born in New London, N.H. on Oct. 22, 1933, to Esther Mae (Cross) and Frederick Eli Whittemore. She was predeceased by her daughters, Martha Hazelton (Wesley) of Gray, Maine, and Melissa Eastman Gordon (Michael) of Woodstock, N.H.; son-in-law Steve Dobbs of Hampton, N.H.; as well as her brothers, Charles F. Whittemore of Sutton, N.H., and Harold L. Whittemore of Warner, N.H. She is survived by her children, Mary Jane Dobbs of Terre Haute, Ind., Arthur (Bub) Quimby (Kathy) of W. Canaan, N.H., and Aaron Quimby of Cambodia.
She also leaves behind grandchildren, Emily Roberts, her son Keegan of Hopedale Mass., Nyla Waddell (Bill) her sons Lukas, Justin, and Brandon of Springfield, N.H., Steven Patten (Eloise) their daughters Lincoln and Madison of Los Angeles, Calif., Owen Roberts (Jessica) their daughters Claire and Daisy of Terre Haute Ind., Travis DeCamp of Canaan, N.H., Kaylee Cook (Frank) her daughters Rowan and Elena of Grafton, N.H., Noel Eastman IV of Georges Mills, N.H., Alyssa Quimby of Lebanon, and Portia Eastman of Georges Mills.
Mary enjoyed spending time with friends and family members, taking time to visit them all over the country. Always showing love for her family by making heirloom quilts and blankets for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would frequent Upper Valley community dinners and had many successful evenings playing Bingo in the area. Mary especially enjoyed caring for and spending time with her granddaughter Alyssa taking her to Bluegrass festivals.
The family would like to send their sincere gratitude to Lebanon Fire Dept, Jack Byrne Center, and Bayada Hospice for their part in assisting Mary in her final days. They would also like to thank her friends and close relatives for their unconditional love, kindness, and friendship. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the spring.
