Meriden, N.H. —
Anne was born in Glen Cove, L.I. N.Y. on Feb. 4, 1927, to William M. and Annie (Pickering) Buck. She grew up in Roslyn, L.I. N.Y., and graduated from Roslyn High School in 1945. On Oct. 11, 1947, she married James M. Gallagher, Sr. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Roslyn. They made their home in Roslyn until moving to Meriden in 1974.
Anne attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Claremont, N.H., and participated in many Church activities. She loved serving on the Altar Guild and her love of music and gift of a beautiful voice led her to the choir. She made many lasting friends at Prince of Peace.
Anne was very proud of her family and her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always made sure there was a tin or two of homemade cookies on hand. She was loving, giving and caring to her family and their needs always. She was a steadfast, loyal and loving friend to many.
Anne is survived by her children, Sheila A. Gallagher of Meriden, James M. Gallagher, Jr. (Karen) of Meriden and Michael W. Gallagher (Jeanne) of Auburn, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kevin J. McNamara (Clara) of Meriden, James M. Gallagher III (Kim) of Windham, N.H., William C. Gallagher (Krissy), of Castle Rock, Colo., Kristin (Gallagher) Labbe (Dan) of Sanford, Maine, Meghan Gallagher (Thomas Melin), of Concord, Calif., and Shannon S. Gallagher (Jessica) of Auburn, Calif.; 10 great-grandchildren, Haley McNamara, Tyler and Khloe Gallagher, Nolan and Emily Gallagher, Braeden Gallagher and Emmett and Isabella Labbe, Benjamin Simone and McKenzie Sexton.
Anne is also survived by her sister-in-law, Anna Pearsall of Greenfield Center, N.Y., and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Phil and Peggy Mollitor of Bethel, Vt. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and several dear and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim, in 1992 and her younger sister, Ellie Millwater in 2012.
Anne requested that there be no service or calling hours. Private burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I. N.Y. where Anne will be reunited with her beloved husband, Jim.
