Durham, n.h. — Trevor Knight threw for four touchdowns and New Hampshire picked up its first victory with a 28-0 win over Holy Cross on Saturday.

Knight was 22-of-38 passing for 237 yards, moving the senior to No. 6 on the Wildcats’ all-time list at 5,533 yards passing. He threw for four touchdowns for the third time in his career.

The Wildcats (1-4), who have been to the FCS playoffs 14 straight years, had been outscored 120-33 this season, but quickly took command against the Crusaders (1-5).

Cornell 28, Harvard 24

Ithaca, n.y. — Harold Coles ran 34 yards for a touchdown and Dalton Banks connected with Owen Peters for a 33-yard score, both in the final 7:03, to rally Cornell (2-2, 1-1 Ivy) over Harvard (2-2, 1-1).

The Big Red’s Mike Catanese finished with 75 yards on 12 carries and Coles added 70 yards on 15 carries against the Crimson, who came into the game allowing just 50 yards on the ground per game, tops in the nation.

Aaron Shampklin rushed for 191 yards and a TD for Harvard.

Rhode Island 48, Brown 0

Kingston, r.i. — Vito Priore threw for four touchdowns and Rhode Island (4-1) rolled over Brown (1-3) in the 103rd meeting between the schools.

Brown holds a substantial lead in the series with a 73-28-2 advantage. The margin is much tighter in the Governor’s Cup series that started in 1981, with Brown holding a 19-18 edge.

Columbia 34, Marist 24

New York — Josh Bean threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns and Columbia (3-1) defeated Marist (1-4).

The Lions’ Kyle Castner finished with eight receptions for 112 yards, and the Lions held the ball for 42½ minutes.

Penn 31, Sacred Heart 27

Fairfield, Conn. — Ryan Glover hit Christian Pearson on a late touchdown pass as Penn (3-1) rallied to beat Sacred Heart.

Glover was perfect in the first half, completing all eight of his pass attempts for 103 yards and a touchdown as Penn mounted a 17-0 halftime advantage and led 24-0 early in the third.

Princeton 66, Lehigh 7

Princeton, n.j. — John Lovett threw for three touchdowns and ran for another and Princeton (3-0) scored eight straight touchdowns.

Lovett threw for 288 yards and led the ground attack with 111 rushing yards on 12 carries. Ryan Quigley and Charlie Volker each ran for two touchdowns for the Tigers (3-0).

S. Florida 58, UMass 42

Amherst, Mass. — Jordan Cronkrite ran for 302 yards and three touchdowns and South Florida improved to 5-0 for the second straight season by beating UMass (2-5).

Maine 13, Villanova 10

Orono, Maine — Kenny Doak kicked a career-long 52-yard field goal on the final play of the game, lifting Maine (3-2) over Villanova.

Merchant Marine 33, Norwich 24

Kings Point, n.y. — Merchant Marine (4-1, 2-1 GNAC) scored 20 fourth-quarter points (1-5, 0-3) to defeat Norwich, which saw quarterback Matt Dunn throw for 403 yards.

Amherst 21, Middlebury 0

Middlebury, Vt. — Chase Trunnell ran for two touchdowns as Amherst (4-0) shut out Middlebury (2-2).

Anna Maria 31, Castleton 24

Castleton, Vt. — Moe Harris’ 204 rushing yards and three touchdowns weren’t enough for Castleton (1-4, 0-1 ECFC) in a loss to Anna Maria (1-5, 1-1 ECFC).
