Lyme, N.H. — Lynn R. Smith, 62, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, in the presence of loved ones at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born in Claremont, N.H., on Sept. 23, 1955, a daughter of Lester and Rachel (MacIntyre) Richmond. She was married to Bruce G. Smith in October, 1985, and predeceased by her husband in December, 2018.

Lynn worked as a registered nurse at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical center for most of her career, adored by patients and coworkers alike for her kind and caring disposition. After retirement, she continued to serve her community as a parish nurse of the Lyme Congregational Church. She enjoyed poetry, dancing, and evening canoe rides on the Connecticut River with her husband. She was a member of the Wild Mountain Mamas, a mother-daughter hiking group based in Lyme. Lynn was a devoted mother and grandmother and is survived by her daughter, Alaina Smith, of Woodsville; her son Ian & daughter-in-law Jiyeon Smith of Lyme, and her grandson, Jivan.
