“We have contemplated being open on Mondays as customers and donors alike often show up, not realizing we were closed,” Bill Neukomm, executive director of Cover Home Repair and the Cover Store, said in a news release. “We want to make it as convenient as possible for shoppers and donors to support the Cover Store and increase our ability to meet demand for Cover Home Repair services.”
The nonprofit organization rallies teams of volunteers to perform urgent home repairs for low-income homeowners, including senior citizens. Repairs range from weatherizing homes, to installing handicapped accessible ramps and new roofs. Proceeds from the Cover Store support these efforts.
“This is great opportunity for our customers to now shop in our White River Junction store any day of the week,” Neukomm said. “It also makes it more convenient for donors to drop off appliances, furniture, cabinets, tools and other building materials to help support the mission of repurposing goods and helping make more homes safe, warm, and dry.”
