The New Hampshire Bankers Association has elected Mark Pitkin, chief executive of Newport’s Sugar River Bank, as chairman of the Concord-based trade and lobbying group for the coming year.

The election occurred during the association’s annual meeting on June 22 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, which NHBA said was attended by more than 130 of the group’s members.

Pitkin, who was previously vice chairman, succeeds Chairman Dan Morrison, chief executive of Portsmouth, N.H.-based Optima Bank & Trust.

Pitkin has been CEO of Sugar River since 2009 and is a 1987 graduate of Newport High School.

Also at the annual meeting, the group approved Reggie Greene, chief executive of Claremont Savings Bank in Claremont, as a new member of the NHBA’s board of directors. Greene, who was appointed chief executive of Claremont Savings in 2016, was previously executive vice president at Ledyard National Bank in Hanover.

Five real estate agents have joined Quechee-based Brick & Barn Real Estate Group, the real estate firm announced: Wayne Tullar, Terry Boone, Delia Wallace, Jim Shibles and Risa Mornis.

All five agents were affiliated previously with the Century 21 Energy Shield real estate agency in Lebanon and will work out of Brick & Barn’s Quechee headquarters, the firm said in a news release.

In addition, Linda Hicks, an agent who had been with Sotheby’s in Connecticut, has joined the firm.

Brick & Barn, formerly Quechee Lakes Real Estate Center, was acquired last year by Upper Valley natives and Hanover High School alums Scott Rome and Herb Hart from former owner Charlie Bacon.

The new hires bring the firm’s roster to a total of 31 agents in offices located in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
