Sprinkler DousesTop Floor at V.A.

White River Junction — Crews at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center spent all of Friday night and part of Saturday mopping up water on the top two floors of the main hospital building, after a sprinkler head burst on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday afternoon, the center’s public-affairs office reported that “no veteran patients were affected or displaced by the flooding,” which started in the “penthouse” space housing mechanical systems and filtered to the floor immediately below.
