Haverhill — The Haverhill Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who went missing after a suspicious early morning house fire on Tuesday on Mt. Moosilauke Highway in Haverhill.

Daniel Wyman, 37, is possibly in danger, Haverhill police said in a news release.

Police say Wyman was last seen on foot leaving 286 Mt. Moosilauke Highway, which is about a mile west of where the fire started, at 730 Mt. Moosilauke Highway.

Wyman had been renting the house where the fire started and he was the only one living there, Haverhill Police Chief Brandon Alling said on Thursday.

The fire call came in at 12:18 a.m. on Tuesday, and police and fire investigators concluded that the fire was suspicious. Wyman was last seen two minutes before the fire call came in at the residence down the road, the release said.

The house was a total loss, the chief said.

Wyman stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information about the fire or Wyman’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Haverhill Police Department at 603-787-2222.
