North Haverhill — A 57-year-old Canaan man has been indicted by a Grafton County grand jury on eight charges alleging, in part, that he sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13.

Steve Hanlon faces three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, two counts of felonious sexual assault and three misdemeanor counts of simple assault.

The most serious charges allege Hanlon inappropriately touched the child between April 2017 and March of this year, and that he had the child touch him.

He will be arraigned on July 16 in North Haverhill.
