Senior Michaela Ricker scored four times, registering her 100th point on the final tally of the night as the Hurricanes rallied for a 10-5 win over rival Woodstock on Friday night in their regular-season finale.
Ricker’s achievement came four days after teammate Morgan Pero pulled the same feat in a win over Spaulding at home.
“Michaela is solid all the way around — defensively, midfield and attack,” said Hartford coach Heather Hartford. “She has great field sense and is a quiet leader on and off the field. What makes (the milestone) even more impressive is that she did it in three years, because she sat out freshman year with a knee injury.”
Woodstock trailed at halftime, 4-3, but scored the first two goals of the second half to go ahead.
Hartford took over from there, netting the game’s final six goals.
“We finished really strong and had so many contributors,” Hartford said. “Our overall defense and transition game was great down the stretch.”
Greer McCarty scored twice, Tayler Simmons had a goal and two assists and Zoey Pfeiffer had one goal and one helper for Hartford.
Pero and Carolyn North registered one goal each and Alice Dwyer and Makenna Druge had two helpers apiece for the Hurricanes.
For Woodstock, Brittney Poljacik scored twice, Addie Gray had a goal and an assist and Izzy Jones and Kelly Gebhardt scored once each.
Emi Harlow had numerous impressive stops among her 12 saves for the Canes, Hartford said, and Maggie Parker made nine saves for Woodstock (2-11).
“It was such a fun, back-and-forth game,” said Hartford. “It was Woodstock’s senior night, and both teams played really well.”
The squads now await next week’s Vermont Division II playoff pairings.
