Claremont, N.H. — Neil Francis Courtemanche, 61, of Claremont, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 23, 2018. Neil was born in Claremont on July 23, 1956 to Norman F. and Doris (LeClerc) Courtemanche. He was predeceased by both his father and mother and by his sister Linda (Courtemanche) Clark.

Neil is survived by his sister, Brenda (Courtemanche) Frost and her husband, Ehrhard of Thetford, Vt.; brothers Bruce Courtemanche and his wife, Sandy of Clearwater Fla., Anthony Courtemanche and wife, Teresita of Sheriden, Ore., and Eric Courtemanche and wife, Laurie of Queen Creek, Ariz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; two maternal uncles and aunts, Donald LeClerc and his wife, Christine, of Franklin Square, N.Y., and Roland LeClerc and his wife, Vivette of Escondido, Calif.; and two special Aunts, Dorothy Courtemanche of Claremont and Georgette (Courtemanche) Crosby of Hillsborough, N.H.

Neil was a Big Boston Sports Fan and was particularly loyal to the Red Sox and the Patriots. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and was quite competitive. Neil also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles.

Neil did a stint in the US Army serving in Germany. He worked for many years at Strum Ruger in Newport, N.H., and most recently at Walmart in Claremont.

He will be missed beyond measure by his family and all who loved him.

A private service and burial will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
