The Otters led, 12-6, heading into the top of the sixth. Windsor (1-3) then benefited from eight walks in the inning on its way to a 10-spot and a 16-12 lead. Jasmine Frazer, Hannah Wood and Madison Putnam each had RBI singles in the 10-run rally.
“We were behind the whole game. It was a really good team effort, we kept chipping away,” Windsor coach Heather Stearns said. “We were patient, took our walks and got some big hits when we needed to.”
Carah Rugg pitched a complete game for Windsor, striking out four while allowing nine hits and 11 walks. Catcher Adi Prior was 2-for-2 with a triple. Kacie Charest had three singles. Stearns praised an improved defensive game from the Yellowjackets as a whole.
Windsor is back in action on Saturday at Fair Haven.
Oxbow 5, Randolph 1
Randolph, Vt.
Fornwalt struck out 10 and walked none. Fornwalt helped her own cause at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBIs. Schylar Hanzas was also 3-for-4.
The Olympians will host Rivendell on Saturday.

Orford
Vaillancourt struck out seven and walked just one to record the no-no. Whitchester had 19 hits as a team, led by a 5-for-5 showing by Jordan Galluzo. Hayley Mears was 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored.
The win came on just the third day the Mountaineers have played or practiced outdoors this spring. Whitchester (1-0) will host the Raptors on Monday in a return match.
Brattleboro 12, Hartford 1
White River Junction
“Brattleboro has outscored their first three opponents by something like 60-1. So to go seven innings with them and only up 12 runs, I’ll take it,” Hartford coach Bob Beisler said.
Kendyl Boisvert had two hits for the Canes. Hannah Ballou had one. Bailey Bean went the distance in the circle, recording seven strikeouts. Hartford visits Bellows Falls on Saturday.
Otter Valley 4, Windsor 3

Robert Slocum’s two-run double gave Windsor a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Otters countered with a two-run home run in the bottom of the frame and then walked off with a win on a RBI single in the home half of the seventh.
“It was a great game. They’re a very good team so I knew it would be a good test for us on the road,” Windsor coach Jamie Richardson said. “I thought we did well, hung right in there and had chances to win in the end.”
Justin Smith had an RBI single for Windsor in the fourth inning. Ryland Richardson singled for the other Windsor hit. Seth Balch pitched the first six innings, allowing just three hits while fanning six and walking four. Adam Stapleton took the loss in ⅔ of an inning of relief.
The Yellowjackets visit Stevens on Monday.
Randolph 12, Oxbow 9
Randolph
Oxbow scored six runs in the fifth inning to lead, 9-6. Randolph benefited from nine Oxbow errors to help erase the three-run deficit.
Sullivan French had three hits and two RBIs for the Olympians. Lincoln Ilsley had a single and a double and drove in one. Hunter Locke had two hits and a RBI.
The O’s host Montpelier on Saturday.
Brattleboro 12, Hartford 5 (5)
White River Junction
Riley Packard was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Hartford. Kyle Hamilton added an RBI single. Tyler Hamilton scored both Hartford runs and walked three times.
The Canes host Fair Haven on Saturday.
Hanover 10, Salem 5
Hanover
Graham Penfield and Kyle Rozzi each had three goals and an assist to pace the Hanover attack. The Marauders led, 5-2, at halftime and outshot Salem 45-11.
Brendan Brigham was 17-for-18 in faceoffs and had 10 ground balls to lead Hanover.
Brian Pattison added two goals, Charlie Baughman had a goal and an assist, Alex Mosenthal had a goal, Colin Rozzi chipped in a pair of assists and Pete Warhold had one helper.
Hanover (2-5) has now won two straight games and will play host to Nashua North on Saturday.

Field Willis added three goals and two assists. Lucas Piconi had four goals and an assist. Trevor White and Jed Astbury was had a goal and two assists. Riley Shepherd had two goals. Cullen McCarthy and Micah Schlabach had three assists each.
Goaltender Gabe Marsicovetere made three saves for the Wasps, who will visit Rice on Saturday.
Big Green’s Mathis Honored
Princeton, n.j.
Mathis was a unanimous selection for the award while also picking up a spot on the all-Ivy first team for singles play. Mathis was 23-13 overall this season, including a 6-1 record in Ivy play.
She ended the season on a four-match winning streak.
Dartmouth’s Julia Schroeder was named the Ivy first team for doubles and second team for singles.
Teammate Abigail Chiu partnered with Schroeder all season in doubles and was also named to the first team.
