Meriden, N.H. —
Cheyenne was born to Lillian and Earl Sullivan on Aug. 21, 1955. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1973 and Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. in 1975. She married David Chellis of Meriden in 1974, and they made Meriden their home thereafter, most recently in the Chellis family homestead on Chellis Road. Cheyenne worked as a legal assistant in the law offices of Peter Decato and Jean Burling for many years.
Cheyenne enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed camping trips to Scarborough, Maine, and to her parents’ campground site at the Israels River in Jefferson, N.H. She was a member of the Plainfield Historical Society and of the Independent Telephone Pioneers Association. At home she loved working in her flower gardens and preserving the historical character of her home.
She is survived by her daughter, Abigail, a student at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.; her parents, Lillian and Oscar Audette of Meriden; and her sisters, Cindy McGreevy and Terry Audette of Newport, Vt. She was predeceased by her husband, David Chellis, in 2012, and by her brother, Michael Sullivan, in 1992.
A memorial service will be held at the Ricker Funeral Home at 56 School Street in Lebanon on Saturday, May 5, at 2 p.m.
