Ebony, Va. — Bernie passed away in her home in Ebony of a short illness on Oct. 25, 2017. She was born in the Upper Valley and was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School.

She is survived by her husband, James, also of Ebony. She is also survived by three sons: Shaun Adams of North Brookfield, Mass., Corey Nutting of Springfield, Vt., and Jamie Nutting of Post Mills, Vt. She also had a stepson, Patrick Lemere of Middleton, N.J. One granddaughter, Mikayla Adams lives in North Brookfield, Mass. Numerous nieces and nephews still live in the Upper Valley.

A graveside internment service will be held in the Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill, Va. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 1 p.m.
