Norwich
You’ll have your chance on Saturday in Norwich at the Spring Spirits Psychic Fair, held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Tracy Hall.
“The response has been phenomenal,” said Karen Roy, organizer of the event. “There’s not really anything that’s like the psychic fair.”
The fair is a fundraiser for the Half Moon Sober Festival, a nonprofit organization that hosts an alcohol- and substance-free event each Memorial Day weekend in New Boston, N.H. The celebration, which is now in its 23rd year, is aimed at people who are in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, their family and friends, and includes live music, recovery meetings, dancing, camping and children’s activities.
“It’s a very family-centered festival,” said Roy, who met her husband there in 2005. “We’ve always stayed very involved in the festival because it’s very dear to our hearts.”
While Half Moon has hosted psychic fairs before, this is the first time the event will be held in the Upper Valley.
“Because it’s a nonprofit, we hold various fundraisers throughout the year that help keep the cost down for the patrons and help put on the festival,” Roy said.
Fifteen-minute readings from one of the 11 participating psychics, whose specialties include palmistry, channeling and tarot card, crystal ball and crystal reading, cost $20.
“There’s a huge variety of different ways that psychics pull information and transmit information,” Roy said. “It’ll resonate differently for different people.”
The event also will feature a Psychic Farmers Market with 18 vendors, including one who will be doing aura and chakra photography.
