Springfield, N.H. —
Born Oct. 14, 1936, at the New London Hospital, Hollis grew up in Springfield before moving to East Windsor, Conn. Hollis was the son of Margaret and Leon Wilder (both deceased) and joins his wife, Joan Moody Wilder, who passed before him. Hollis returned to Springfield in 2004.
Hollis enjoyed spending time outdoors and with friends and family. During the warmer months, he loved riding his red Can-Am Spyder. In the winter, he traded the motorcycle for his snowmobile. Hollis loved his family farm where he lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Guy Downey, and their two horses.
Hollis is also survived by his son, Ralph Wilder, and his wife, Donna of Spokane, Wash. Four grandchildren, Christina Charette and her husband, Rick of Georgia; Cecil of Spokane; Sara Petersen and her husband, Anthony of Keene, N.H.; and Sondra Downey and her husband, Nick Kopyscinski of Boston, Mass. He leaves behind several great-grandchildren, Ellie and Rylie Petersen, and Quentin Charette and many nieces and nephews. Hollis leaves behind his sister, Sophie Hamilton, of Springfield and a cousin, Brenda Saunders, of Claremont.
Family and friends may gather Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Chadwick’s Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, N.H. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service to follow at 1 p.m.
