Dorchester — Voters in Dorchester approved all warrant articles unanimously in what turned out to be the second shortest Town Meeting since 1985.

Selectboard Chairman Margaret Currier-Lemay said residents passed the five articles in 25 to 30 minutes on Saturday, “no problem.”

All veterans in Dorchester, and their spouse or surviving spouse, who have served more than 90 days and who were honorably discharged are now eligible to received a $100 tax credit. Prior to the Saturday vote, only a select group of veterans were eligible.

Voters approved the proposed budget of $444,400, which represented a 6 percent decrease over last year’s approved spending.

Voters also put $1,000 into a capital reserve fund that was established to help acquire and develop land for a cemetery. In addition, they voted to put $8,000 into the property revaluation capital reserve fund and $4,900 into the town building fund.
