Martaniuk received the award at the organization’s annual conference, held at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel in Killington in September.
Martaniuk, of Windsor, has worked at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center since 1977, when she started in the accounting office.
She moved to the human resources department as an accounts payable and payroll technician in 1992 and was promoted to human resources director in 1994.
Dr. Joseph Perras, president, CEO and chief medical officer at the hospital, nominated Martaniuk for the award.
He said in a news release that Martaniuk “provides invaluable insight to the organization on staffing strategy, compensation, benefits and professional development” and is “a regional leader in the field, as an active member of HR associations at the national and state levels.”
