Hollis, n.h. — Newport High placed two wrestlers at Saturday’s 20-team Nor’Easter Invitational, hosted by Hollis Brookline High.

Wrestling at 126 pounds in his first tournament, Josh Sharron went 4-0 on the day to take first place in his weight class. He defeated Windham’s Vincent Marino in the championship match, 4-3.

“This is great statement victory for Josh, having been an unseeded wrestler going into the tournament and defeating a third place finisher at the Meet of Champions from a year ago,” Tigers coach Cole Boone said in an email.

Gavin Lovely (182 pounds) placed third after going 4-1.
