Lebanon, N.H. —
Bob was born Jan. 30, 1927, the son of Lester and Doris (Rogers) Follensbee. His first job was at King’s Shell Station in Lebanon.
Bob attended Lebanon High School where he left school and joined the Navy and fought during World War II. After returning from the war, Bob went and finished High School.
In 1949, which later ended in divorce Bob married Lorraine Nolet of Lebanon, where they lived until the early 50’s, when they moved to Hartford Village, Vt., where he, along with his dad, operated Hartford Shell Station until the early 60’s. From there he went to work at C.R.R.E.L. in Hanover N.H., where he was Safety Officer until his retirement.
In his free time Bob was a member of the Lebanon and Hartford Fire Department call force.
Bob was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Lowell, and Arthur “Pee-Wee” Follensbee
He is survived by two older brothers, Albert of Florida and Roy of Lebanon; sons David and partner Deirdre of Brattleboro, Vt., Dale and Lynette of Morrisville, Vt., Jeffrey of Sharon, Vt.; grandchildren Anna, Abby, Ryan, Jennifer, Alexis and Chandler; great-grandchildren Jacoby, Eliza, Jack and Luna.
Following Bob’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Bob’s graveside will be announced in the spring at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, Vt.
