Randolph Center, Vt. — Eleanor Fortune, 85, of Randolph Center died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family and companion, Dick Polarek.

Born July 18, 1932, in Enfield, N.H. to Frank and Ella Adams. She married Robert Fortune and moved to Randolph Center. Eleanor was best known for her housekeeping many of her neighbor’s and friend’s homes. She took great pride in helping out the elderly in the community. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, feeding the birds and cooking.

Survivors include her daughter Vicki and her husband Roger Palmer; Grandson Robert Palmer and his wife Miranda; granddaughter, Robin Palmer; great-grandchildren, Sean, Brandan, Victoria and Ayla all of Randolph Center; and companion, Dick Polarek.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Day Funeral Home in Randolph. A graveside service will be scheduled for the spring in the Randolph Center cemetery with Pastor Tom Harty officiating.
