Storrs, Conn. — Crystal Dangerfield, Kia Nurse and Napheesa Collier all scored 14 points to help top-ranked UConn rout No. 20 California, 82-47, on Friday night.

The Huskies trailed 4-3 early before scoring 23 of the next 25 points to take command of the game. Gabby Williams got the run started with consecutive layups. Later in the burst she made a layup while falling that gave UConn a 22-6 advantage. Sara Anastasieska hit a 3-pointer with 1:41 left in the opening period to end a string of 17 consecutive points scored by the Huskies.

Austin, Texas — Jada Underwood scored 19 points, Brooke McCarty had 18 and Texas cruised past Texas-San Antonio.

Durham, n.c. — Wendell Carter Jr. had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 1 Duke beat Southern.

Lawrence, Kan. — Svi Mykhailiuk scored a career-high 27 points and Lagerald Vick finished with 22 for Kansas.

Allentown, Pa. — Mikal Bridges set a school record by hitting all six of his 3-point shots and scored a career-high 24 points for Villanova.

Lexington, Ky. — Quade Green scored a career-high 21 points and Kevin Knox had 17 points with 10 rebounds as Kentucky overcame an early deficit.

College Station, Texas — DJ Hogg scored 19 of his 24 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half and Texas A&M won its home opener.

Louisville, Ky. — Ray Spalding had a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds, Deng Adel had a game-high 21 points and Anas Mahmoud had eight of his team’s 15 blocked shots for Louisville.

Los Angeles — Jaylen Hands scored 22 points to lead three freshmen in double figures for UCLA.

Waco, Texas — Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. had 16 points and 12 rebounds as Baylor beat gave coach Scott Drew his 300th win.

Manu Lecomte had 17 points for the Bears, who are 3-0 for the 10th time in 11 seasons. King McClure had 13 points and freshman Tristan Clark had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Drew has a career record of 300-191.

Reginal Johnson scored 14 points for Alcorn (0-4).
