Wilder, Vt. — Pauline Edith Fair, 90, died peacefully at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., surrounded by family on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.

She was born April 25, 1927, in Hudson, Mass., the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude (Batchelder) Persons. She married Winford Harold Fair Nov. 4, 1949. They lived in Woodbury for a year before moving to Hartland for a time and then Wilder where they bought a house and made their home for the rest of their lives. Mr. Fair died in 2008 and Pauline was able to retain her independence the last several years thanks to the devoted care she received from her nieces Yvonne Rice and Holly George.

Pauline enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and knitting as well as spending time in the outdoors, including snowmobiling, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed travelling, whether it be a cross-country motor home trip with her husband, sister and brother-in-law or long rides on back country roads.

She was predeceased by her husband, Winford; sisters, Wauneta Lowery, Mildred Steele and Lucille Baker; brother, Maurice Persons and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
