Coffin has been the board’s vice chair for the past year and was formerly the chair of the development and marketing committee. She replaces Steve White, who is retiring after seven years leading the board.
“Deborah Coffin is a dynamic nonprofit leader,” foundation administrator Gail Huntting said in a news release. Her “years of experience serving on boards of directors will help us raise more critical funds for Fish and Game, as well as further enhance our image around New England.”
Coffin is a trustee for Colby-Sawyer College and a board member for the New Hampshire Locked Moose Project Inc. She recently retired as a board member for the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, where she has been a longtime juried craftsman. She is also a former Selectboard member for the town of Springfield, N.H.
John Wimsatt, recently retired assistant chief of law enforcement for New Hampshire Fish and Game, said he looks forward to Coffin’s leadership.
“Over the last decade, I have worked with Deb on several nonprofit projects,” he said in a news release. “Her level of commitment and business sense are exceptional. She is driven by a desire to do the right things, the correct way all while ensuring a responsible environment impact.”
