Emily Wechsler made five saves for Dartmouth, while Providence counterpart Megan Guilbert had one stop.
Dartmouth continues its three-game homestand Wednesday against New Hampshire.

Kate Landers and Jennifer Costa each had a goal and an assist for the Big Green, while Morgan Turner assisted on both goals.
Christine Honor and Shannon Ropp both saw playing time in goal. Honor was in net for the first 28 minutes and had 10 saves, while Ropp played out the remainder of the game and recorded 23 stops.
Jade Downie-Landry scored twice for McGill, and Marie-Philip Lavoie added three assists.
On Friday, Dartmouth will open the regular season at Harvard.
Big Green Wraps Up Home Invite

Throughout the weekend, the Big Green went 11-1 in doubles, 23-4 in singles and 7-0 in three-set singles matches. Junior Eddie Grabill and freshmen Dan Martin, Carter Ross and Gilbert Jaeger went 6-0 throughout the invite, while senior Max Fliegner was also undefeated with a 3-0 mark.
In doubles, Ross and senior Ciro Riccardi fought hard to defeat their opponents from Brown by a score of 8-7, while the pairings of Martin and junior Roko Glasnovic, and Grabill and Jaeger had 8-2 victories.
Ross, Fliegner and Grabill were all on the winning side of three-set matches. Freshman John Speicher had a 6-1, 6-1 win over Army’s Myles Conlin, while classmate Peter Conklin won his first set against Brown’s Peter Tarwid, 7-6, before taking the second set easily, 6-1.
