She was born in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Walter Raymond and Helen (Jewell) Andrews of Newton, Mass.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Antonio Mattei of Ogunquit, Maine, and by her second husband, Dr. William S. Maurer of South Windham, Conn.
