Lebanon
Stanley grew up in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School, Class of 1950. He played semi-pro baseball for the Lebanon Cardinal’s starting at age 15. Stanley was an Army veteran who proudly served as a Ranger during the Korean Conflict.
He worked for H.W. Carter & Sons as a shipping and receiving clerk until their closing. He later was employed by Split Ball Bearing and Cowan’s Department Store.
Stanley was a Life member of American Legion Post 22 of Lebanon and a member of both the VFW and Elks Club.
He is survived by his four children Linda Cole (Mike) of West Lebanon, N.H., Doreen Moodie of Enfield, N.H., Brian Bond (Margaret) of Claremont, N.H., and Terri Sanborn (Dan) of Penacook, N.H., two siblings, Pauline Wood, of Florida, and Barbara Brown, of Lebanon, N.H., 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a seemingly endless supply of cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Bond and a sister, Norma Couture.
Family and friends are invited to the Ricker Funeral Home & Crematory of Lebanon for Stanley’s memorial calling hours on Wednesday, Aug. 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon on Thursday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m..
Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon.
