Barre, Vt. — The Vermont Soccer Officials Association will hold a clinic next month for anyone interested in working matches during the coming school season.

The clinic is open to anyone interested in learning how to officiate soccer in order to do games at the elementary, middle or high school level. It is also open to those simply looking to work on their skills.

The clinic consists of classroom work, refereeing a boys high school varsity scrimmage and completing an online officiating test within three days of the clinic. All activity will take place on Aug. 26 at Spaulding High School in Barre, running from noon-7 p.m.

Rulebooks will be sent upon receipt of the $75 clinic fee, of which $25 will go toward liability insurance. Participans are reminded to bring clothes to officiate the scrimmage, which will start at 4:30 p.m.
