Louisville, Ky.
Competing in the Pro Category 1-2 division, Rhim finished the 110-mile route in 4 hours, 20 minutes, 7 seconds.
A student at Furman University, Rhim and Holowesko-Citadel teammate Miguel Bryon competed with members of the favored Axeon Hagens Berman squad through the hilly course in Cherokee Park. Rhim eventually joined a three-man sprint to the finish in the 100-rider race, finishing behind Axeon’s Neilson Powless and Aevelo competitor Gage Hecht. Bryon claimed fifth.
Rhim is in his second season racing professionally for Holowesko-Citadel. Friday’s success adds to a growing list of Rhim’s accomplishments, including a criterium and overall points win at last year’s Redlands Classic in California and a fifth-place finish in last year’s Green Mountain Stage Race.
