Hartland, Vt. — Walter Arnold Dow, 78, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at home in Hartland with family at his bedside.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with close friends and family to local casinos. He was educated in Hartland. After graduating from Windsor High School, he spent four years in the Navy. He returned to Vermont and worked at Cone Blanchard Machine until he retired.

He is survived by a brother, sisters-in-law, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, brothers Vincent and Wayne (twin), parents Hollis/Evelyn and stepdaughter Debra.

Memorial service will be Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the private family cemetery in Hartland.
