Rochester, Vt. — Hazel Levasseur, 101, of Rochester, died Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017 at her home.

She was born April 21, 1916, in Royalton; the daughter of Mark W. and Kate (Rindge) Stiles. She graduated from Whitcomb High School and had lived in Georgia, Maine, New York and New Hampshire before returning to Bethel in 2000. Hazel was married to Stanley Adams who predeceased her. She was married to Richard Levasseur in Hadley, Mass. in 1968. She helped establish and run the Red Clover Restaurant in Bethel in the 1960’s. Hazel enjoyed quilting, cooking and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Chuck Adams and wife, Sandy of Bethel; three granddaughters, Kimberly Aldrighetti & husband Tim of Bethel, Kerry Adams & partner, Justine Petrillo of Cambridge, Mass., and Kelly Hill and husband, James of Bethel; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank & Carl Stiles.

A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bethel. There are no calling hours.
