Newport — A third person has been charged in connection with the robbery of pizza delivery man last month in Claremont.

David Pacetti, 32, who was living on Meadow Street in Claremont at the time of the April 15 robbery but now is being held at the House of Corrections, was indicted last week on two felonies, one of which alleges he “harbored” the two women charged with the robbery — Jennifer Tozzi and Debra Pitts — in his basement to delay their apprehension by police.

Pacetti also is alleged to have given Tozzi, who died earlier this month at a hospital from an undisclosed illness, a jacket and baseball cap to disguise her appearance. According to the affidavit, Pitts and Tozzi left Pacetti’s residence on Meadow Street and went to a house on Trinity Street, where they placed an order for a pizza with Domino’s on Washington Street.

When the driver arrived, the women allegedly brandished a knife and demanded money. The women pulled at the driver’s wallet, grabbed money that fell out, and then fled back to Pacetti’s residence, according to an affidavit in the case.

After her arrest, Tozzi, 34, was incarcerated at the Belknap County Jail in Laconia, N.H., to serve time for a willful concealment conviction.

When she was released, she was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital on May 9 and died there a few days later. The cause of death was not specified. The robbery charges against here were dismissed.

Pacetti was indicted for hindering apprehension and conspiracy/robbery with a deadly weapon. Pitts also was indicted on a conspiracy to committ robbery charge. Both are being held at the House of Corrections.
